The PLANET POE-E202 is a 1-port PoE+ to 2-port 802.3af/at Gigabit PoE extender that expands the reach of Power over Ethernet and Gigabit data transmission. It accepts up to 30 W from a PoE+ input and provides up to 25 W total across two 802.3af/at output ports, enabling network devices to be powered and connected up to 200 m from the power source over standard Cat5/5e/6 cable. How to use

Connect the PoE+ source equipment (PSE) to the POE-E202 "PoE IN" RJ45 port using Cat5/5e/6 cable. Then connect up to two powered devices (PD), such as IP cameras or wireless access points, to the "PoE OUT" ports with Cat5/5e/6 cables. The unit will pass Gigabit data and inject compliant 802.3af/at power to the outputs, extending the usable link distance to up to 200 m for each PD without additional configuration.

Recommendations

Use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling and verify the PSE can supply sufficient PoE+ power (up to 30 W) to ensure the POE-E202 can provide the required power budget to connected devices.
