The InLine® SFP+ Module 32335W expands your network with a powerful copper solution for 10GBASE-T applications. With a range of up to 30 metres on Cat.6a cables, the module is ideal for use in data centres, server cabinets or for connecting high-speed devices in close proximity.
Thanks to the standardised RJ-45 interface, servers, NAS systems or switches can be easily connected via existing twisted pair cables – without additional converters or fibre optic technology.
The module supports auto-negotiation for 10G, 5G, 2.5G and 1G, so the connection automatically adapts to the connected device and the available bandwidth.
With a power consumption of up to 3 W, the module is slightly warmer than fibre optic transceivers, but allows for easy retrofitting on a limited budget or with infrastructure restrictions.
The hot-plug function and MSA compatibility ensure easy integration into existing systems – without interrupting operation.

How to use

Insert the SFP+ module into a compatible SFP+ port on a switch, router or media converter until it latches securely. Connect an RJ-45 terminated Cat6 or Cat6a cable between the module and the remote device. Ensure both ends are powered and configured for 10GBase-T operation; check the host device interface settings if link does not establish. Monitor port LEDs or management interface for link and status information. When removing the module, disengage the latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the slot.

Recommendations

Use high-quality Cat6 or Cat6a cables for reliable 10G performance and keep cable length within the specified 30 m limit. Verify SFP+ copper module support in the host device firmware and documentation to ensure full compatibility and to avoid potential issues with power or link stability.
