The InLine® SFP+ Module 32335U has been designed for the most demanding requirements in fibre optic infrastructures. With a range of up to 100 km on single-mode fibres and a transmission rate of 10 Gb/s, it meets the technical requirements of backbone links, long-distance lines and wide-area site networking.
The 1550 nm FMI laser ensures powerful signal transmission, while the APD receiver with TIA amplification can reliably process even weak input signals. This makes the module particularly suitable for environments with high attenuation.
Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) allows detailed evaluation of temperature, supply voltage, laser current and reception level – an important factor for network analysis and predictive maintenance.
Thanks to the MSA standard (SFF-8472, SFF-8431), the module can be used independently of the manufacturer and can be replaced during operation thanks to hot-plug capability – for maximum flexibility and reliability.

How to use

Install the SFP+ module into an available SFP+ slot on a compatible switch, router or media converter until it latches. Connect singlemode fiber with LC duplex connectors, ensuring correct transmit/receive orientation. Verify link status via the host device’s management interface and monitor optical parameters such as received power and signal loss. For long-distance links, confirm fiber attenuation, connector cleanliness and appropriate optical launch power to maintain the specified reach. The module is hot-pluggable and may be inserted or removed while the host equipment remains powered, following vendor guidelines.

Recommendations

For reliable 100 km operation, use ITU-T G.652 compliant singlemode fiber, inspect and clean LC connectors before mating, and verify the end-to-end link budget including connector and splice losses. Check vendor compatibility lists for SFP+ modules and enable any required host-side settings (such as optics or port speed) to ensure stable 10 Gb/s operation.
