How to use

Place the FSD-604HP on a stable surface and connect the uplink ports to your network recorder or switch using standard Ethernet cables. Connect PoE-capable IP cameras or other PoE devices to the four PoE ports; the switch will supply power and data over a single cable. Use the DIP switch to select Standard or Extend mode depending on required distance: Standard for normal IEEE 802.3at/af operation up to 100 m, or Extend mode to support transmission up to 250 m at reduced speed (10 Mbps) with up to 30 W per port. Configure network recording and monitoring on your NVR or surveillance software as needed; the unmanaged switch requires no additional configuration.

Recommendations

For stable surveillance operation, balance total PoE power consumption of connected devices to remain within the 60 W budget, use shielded or higher-quality cables for longer runs, and enable Extend mode only when cable distance exceeds 100 m.
