The PLANET IGS-1600T is an unmanaged L2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16 10/100/1000T ports in a rugged IP30 metal housing. How to use

Mount the switch on a DIN rail or on a wall inside an appropriate cabinet. Connect power using one or both supported inputs (12–48 V DC or 24 V AC); when two power sources are provided the hardware failover will maintain operation if one source fails. Attach network devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports using standard Ethernet cables. No configuration is required for basic switching operations because the device is unmanaged; connected devices will obtain link and begin forwarding traffic automatically.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, install the switch in a ventilated enclosure free of corrosive gases and within the specified temperature range. Use proper surge protection on incoming power where installations are exposed to electrical disturbances, and prefer shielded or good-quality Ethernet cables for reduced interference.
