How to use

Install the GSW-2620HP in a standard 1U rack or on a flat surface and connect power. Use the RJ-45 ports to connect Ethernet devices (IP cameras, APs, VoIP phones) and SFP ports for fiber uplinks to core switches or monitoring equipment. Configure the front-panel DIP switch to select Standard, VLAN or Extend mode depending on the deployment: choose VLAN to isolate multicast/broadcast traffic, or Extend to power remote PoE devices up to 250 m at reduced data speed. Ensure connected devices conform to IEEE 802.3at/af when requiring PoE power.

Recommendations

For energy efficiency, use Cat5e/Cat6 cables and position the switch close to short-reach devices when possible so the cable-length power savings can reduce total consumption.
