The PLANET IPOE-171-60W is an industrial single-port 802.3bt Power over Ethernet injector that supplies up to 60 W over Ethernet cabling while providing two 100M/1G/2.5G/5GBASE-T RJ45 copper interfaces for high-speed data transmission. Designed for higher-power network devices, it supports lighting, all-in-one touch PCs, remote digital signage displays and other PDs that require elevated power for normal operation. The IPOE-171-60W delivers both Ethernet data and DC power over twisted-pair cables and pairs with the IPOE-173S splitter to separate data and power into selectable 12 V or 24 V DC outputs at distances up to 100 m.

How to use

Install the IPOE-171-60W on a DIN rail or wall-mount bracket, connect a compatible DC power source to the redundant DC input terminals, and plug the Ethernet cable from your network switch into the Ethernet port. Connect the Ethernet + DC port to the powered device or to an IPOE-173S splitter if the PD requires separate DC outputs (12 V/24 V). No software configuration is required; the injector performs plug-and-play delivery of data and PoE power up to 100 m over standard Cat.5e/6 cabling.

Recommendations

Use quality Cat.5e or Cat.6 cables for distances up to 100 m and confirm the PD power requirements before deployment.
