PLANET GSD-1002M is a managed desktop Gigabit switch with 8 10/100/1000Base-T copper ports and 2 100/1000Base-X SFP fiber ports. How to use

Install the GSD-1002M on a desktop or in a communication closet near fiber access. Insert appropriate SFP modules (100Base-FX or 1000Base-SX/LX) into the SFP slots to connect fiber links, and connect copper devices to the RJ-45 Gigabit ports. Configure management settings over the IPv4/IPv6 web/CLI interface to set VLANs, QoS policies, ACLs and Spanning Tree parameters. If using PoE, verify PoE power source and cabling; the dual power inputs provide automatic failover if one source fails.
