The InLine® Micro USB 2.0 terminal block adapter with 5-wire connection cable combines the advantages of a stable USB connection with the flexibility of open signal wiring. The mini USB socket is permanently connected to a 5-pin screw terminal block – ideal for test benches, diagnostic devices, or embedded systems.
The screw terminals are clearly labeled (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: voltage, 5: shield) and enable secure and unambiguous signal assignment. The terminal connections with a 5.0 mm grid size support wires in the range of 16–26 AWG. Wiring is tool-assisted with a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm.
The integrated 1-meter connection cable reduces wiring effort and allows immediate use – e.g., on control systems, test systems, or mobile test stations. An EVA insulating layer on the underside provides additional protection when mounting on conductive surfaces.

How to use

Connect the mini USB 2.0 female plug of the adapter to the corresponding male cable or device. Strip wires to the appropriate length and insert them into the matching labeled screw terminals (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: VBUS, 5: shield). Secure each conductor with the pressure plate using a flat-head screwdriver with a blade width ≤ 2.5 mm. Mount the adapter on a non-conductive surface or use the EVA insulating layer on the underside when placing it on conductive surfaces. The permanently integrated 1 m cable allows immediate connection to systems without additional soldering or accessory cables.

Recommendations

Use conductors within the specified 16–26 AWG range and observe the rated current of 0.7 A per pin. For reliable signal integrity, keep D+ and D– data lines twisted and avoid routing power and data lines closely in high-noise environments. Do not exceed the USB operating voltage of 5 V DC and avoid exposure beyond the stated operating temperature range.
