The InLine® USB‑C 2.0 terminal block adapter with 5‑wire connection cable combines the advantages of a modern USB‑C connection with the flexibility of open signal wiring. The USB‑C socket is permanently connected to a 5‑pin screw terminal block – ideal for test benches, diagnostic devices, or embedded systems.
The terminals are clearly labeled (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: voltage, 5: shield) and enable safe and error-free signal assignment. The terminal connections with a 5.0 mm grid size support wires in the 16–26 AWG range. Wiring is tool-assisted with a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm.
The permanently integrated 1-meter connection cable reduces wiring effort and ensures immediate operation – e.g., in control systems, development boards, or mobile test stations. An EVA insulation layer on the underside provides additional protection when mounting on conductive surfaces.

How to use

Strip the conductor ends to the appropriate length for the 5.0 mm pitch screw terminals and insert wires for signals 1 through 5 according to the terminal labels (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: VBUS, 5: shield). Tighten the pressure-plate screws using a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm until secure. Plug a USB‑C male cable or device into the female USB‑C connector; the permanently integrated 1 m cable then provides the wired signal paths to your system. When mounting on conductive surfaces, ensure the EVA insulation layer faces the surface to prevent shorting.

Recommendations

Use insulated, tinned or ferruled wires within the 16–26 AWG range and avoid exceeding the per-pin rated current of 0.7 A. For long-term reliability in industrial environments, verify correct terminal tightening during commissioning and keep the integrated cable strain-free.
