The InLine® Micro USB 2.0 terminal block adapter with 5-wire connection cable combines the advantages of a plug-in USB connection with the flexibility of open signal wiring. The micro USB connector is directly connected to a 5-pin screw terminal – ideal for test stations, diagnostic devices, embedded systems, or laboratories.
The terminals are clearly labeled (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: voltage, 5: shield) and enable clear and reliable signal assignment. The connection range of 16–26 AWG is covered by pressure plate screw terminals with a 5.0 mm grid dimension. Wiring is tool-assisted with a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm.
The integrated connection cable (1 m) reduces wiring effort and increases mobility – e.g., for mobile test devices, development boards, or machine connections. An EVA insulation layer provides additional protection when mounting on conductive surfaces.

How to use

Connect the micro USB plug to the host or device. Strip the conductor ends within the specified 16–26 AWG range, insert them into the corresponding labeled terminal positions (1 through 5) and secure each conductor by tightening the screw terminal with a flat‑head screwdriver (≤ 2.5 mm). Ensure the cable routing and the EVA insulated underside do not contact sharp conductive edges. The permanently integrated cable removes the need for additional connectors or soldering.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for temporary or semi‑permanent connections in test, diagnostic or prototyping environments. For continuous high‑current applications choose appropriate USB wiring and verify that 0.7 A per pin meets your power requirements.
