PLANET FGSW-2622VHP is an unmanaged L2 Fast Ethernet switch offering 24 10/100BASE-TX RJ-45 ports with PoE+ (each port up to 30 W), two Gigabit RJ-45 uplink slots and two Gigabit SFP interfaces. With an internal power system and a total PoE budget of 300 W, the FGSW-2622VHP provides non-blocking switching performance and visible status via an integrated color LCD panel for quick installation and monitoring without a PC or software.

How to use

Mount the switch in a suitable location or place on a desk or rack. Connect network devices and PoE PDs (cameras, access points) to the RJ-45 PoE ports using Cat5e/Cat6 cabling; the switch will provide data and power over the same cable. Use the front LCD to monitor PoE status, select operation mode (Standard, VLAN, Extend) and adjust budget or bandwidth controls as needed. For long-distance uplinks, insert compatible 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP modules into the SFP slots and connect to the backbone fiber.

Recommendations

Use the Extend mode only for ports where longer cable runs are required and where 20 W PoE is sufficient for the powered device; keep critical high-bandwidth devices in Standard mode to ensure full throughput. Regularly check the LCD for PoE budget and PD alive status and use the VLAN mode to isolate multicast traffic from IP cameras to prevent broadcast storms.
