How to use

Mount the GSW-1820HP in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a stable surface. Connect network devices (IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones) to the RJ-45 PoE ports; the switch will automatically negotiate link speed and provide PoE power per the IEEE standard. Use the SFP slots for fiber uplinks to backbone switches or monitoring centers. Set the DIP switch to the appropriate operation mode: Standard for normal PoE+ operation, VLAN to isolate ports and reduce multicast/broadcast impact, or Extend to provide up to 22 W at 10 Mbps over distances up to 250 m on each extended port.

Recommendations

For best results, calculate the total PoE power requirements of connected devices to ensure they do not exceed the 240 W budget. Use the Extend mode only where higher reach is required and bandwidth limitations at 10 Mbps per extended port are acceptable.
