How to use

Mount the POE-163 on a wall or place it on a flat surface, connect the AC power cord to the built-in 100–240 V input, and plug a Cat.5E/6 Ethernet cable from your network switch or router into the LAN port. Connect the other Ethernet cable from the POE port to your PoE-enabled device (for example, an IP camera, AP or VoIP phone). The device will receive both data and power through the single cable; check the POWER and PoE ACTIVE LEDs to confirm operation.

Recommendations

The POE-163 is intended for use with IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant powered devices. For optimal performance, use Cat.5E or Cat.6 cabling and keep cable runs within 100 meters. Confirm the powered device's power requirements do not exceed the 30 W output of the injector.
