Thanks to the 8 integrated TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) protection diodes, this device provides effective protection against overload current pulses. The bidirectional protection function ensures that data packets are transmitted securely in both directions without compromising signal quality or speed.
The RJ45 adapter reacts to overvoltages from 53-59 V and reliably protects against damage with a maximum pulse current of 5.2 A. This makes it ideal for sensitive network applications. The fixed interface reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI, RFI) and thus ensures a loss-free, stable connection. How to use

Disconnect network cabling before installation. Plug one RJ45 cable end into one socket of the coupling and the other cable into the opposite socket to create an inline connection. Ensure connectors are fully seated and maintain correct shield continuity for FTP cabling by using shielded connectors and grounded installation points where required. After installation, restore network power and verify link integrity and PoE functionality.

Recommendations

Install the surge protector at a central or exposed network termination point where lightning or surge risk is higher (for example, incoming cable entries, external camera runs or exposed patch panels). Regularly inspect connectors and cable shielding; replace the protector if it shows signs of damage or if network performance degrades after a surge event.
