The InLine® PCI Express cardexpands your system with two internal U.2 NVMe SSD slotsand enables the parallel operation of two SSDswith full PCIe bandwidth. Thanks to automatic lane detection, configuration is carried out for optimum system integration.

BIOS/UEFI settings for PCIe bifurcation:
In order for both U.2 NVMe SSDs to be operated simultaneously, the PCIe slot used must often be set to Bifurcation modein the BIOS/UEFI. This splits the available PCIe lanes into several channels (e.g. one x8 slot into two x4 channels).

How to use

Install the card into a free PCIe 3.0 x8 or x16 slot on a compatible motherboard. Mount 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe SSDs into the SFF-8639 connectors and secure them with the supplied screws. If your motherboard requires it, enable PCIe bifurcation (lane splitting) in the BIOS/UEFI so the x8 slot is divided (for example into two x4 channels) and both NVMe devices can operate simultaneously. After hardware installation, boot the system and verify that both NVMe drives are detected by the operating system. No additional driver installation is necessary for supported Windows or Linux distributions.
