The InLine® Slim Cat.6A S/FTP patch cable seriescombines highest network performance with maximum space and energy efficiency. Thanks to the particularly slim design with AWG28 conductors, these cables enable a significantly higher port density in network cabinets and ensure improved air circulation, which increases cooling and efficiency.

In contrast to conventional, thinner AWG32 cables, this cable supports full Cat.6A transmission quality at up to 500 MHzand 4PPoEwith up to87 watts. This makes it the ideal solution for professional applications where a combination of space-saving, PoE capability and high performance is required.

The use of high-quality copper conductors minimizes signal loss and ensures a reliable network connection - even over distances of up to 30 metres. The S/FTP double shielding reliably protects the cable from electromagnetic interference.

How to use

Install the InLine 74900O patch cable between RJ45 ports of network switches, patch panels and devices. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Use the cable for horizontal or patching applications in racks and cabinets, maintaining proper bend radius and avoiding sharp kinks. For PoE applications verify device and switch PoE specifications and cabling distance limits. Follow standard structured cabling practices (T568B) when terminating or testing links.

Recommendations

For best performance, route the cable to minimise tight bends and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. Use the orange colour to identify specific circuits or functions in patching fields and perform certification or testing for critical 10 Gbit/s links to confirm compliance with Cat6A performance.
