Directional antenna QuWireless AXR12

The QuMax XR2 is a bi-directional LTE eXtra Range antenna set consisting of two separate antennas designed to connect to two different LTE base stations or to the same station for increased throughput. The primary antenna includes built-in dual-band Wi‑Fi, GPS and Bluetooth antennas, two N female connectors for the second LTE antenna and space to install a RUTX12 router inside the enclosure. The secondary unit is a compact directional LTE eXtra Range antenna. The set is intended for long-range LTE connections and supports configurations such as load balancing and carrier aggregation when connected to two base stations.

How to use

Mount the two antennas according to site planning for optimal line-of-sight to target LTE base stations. Connect the main antenna’s Nf connectors to the LTE modem or to the secondary antenna as required; install the RUTX12 router inside the main enclosure if a compact integrated solution is needed. Configure the LTE modem or router to use both antenna inputs and, where supported, enable load balancing or carrier aggregation to distribute traffic between base stations.

Recommendations

Place antennas on sturdy masts or wall mounts with clear exposure toward the desired base stations, maintain proper grounding, and follow local regulations for antenna installations. For best performance, perform an RF site survey to determine optimal azimuth and elevation and use high-quality coaxial cables to minimize loss between antenna and router/modem.
