ARCTIC MX-7 - ULTIMATE Performance Thermal Paste, Thermal paste, 2.9 g/cm³, Grey, 35.000 - 38.000, -50 - 250 °C, 4 g

ARCTIC MX-7 is a grey thermal paste in a 4 g syringe with a listed density of 2.9 g/cm³ and an operating range of -50 to 250 °C. The specification points to a thick, filler-heavy compound: ARCTIC gives a viscosity figure of 35.000 - 38.000, so expect it to hold its shape when dispensed rather than flowing out like a thinner paste.

Because of that consistency, apply it as a dot or short line in the centre of the processor and let the cooler's mounting pressure do the spreading; a spatula will not work well with a paste this dense. The 4 g size covers a single CPU or GPU repaste with some to spare. The listed breakdown voltage is 4200 V, the figure ARCTIC gives for the compound's electrical insulation.
