The PLANET IGS-5225-8T2S2X is an industrial managed L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch in a rugged IP30 aluminium case. It provides 8 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 copper ports, 2 100/1000/2500BASE-X SFP ports and 2 10G SFP+ ports, with a non-blocking switching capacity up to 66 Gbps and a MAC address table of 32,000 entries. The switch supports static Layer 3 routing, various Layer 2 features and industry networking standards, accepts 12–48 V DC input, and can be mounted on a DIN rail or wall for installation in industrial and demanding environments.

How to use

Install the switch on a DIN rail or mount it to the wall and connect DC power within the specified 12–48 V range. Populate SFP/SFP+ slots with suitable transceivers according to required link speed and distance. Configure basic network settings and VLANs via the web GUI or console, set up redundancy protocols (ERPS/MSTP) for ring topologies, and enable security features such as DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard and 802.1x. For integration with automation systems, enable Modbus TCP/IP to allow remote monitoring of port and device status.
