How to use

Cut the required cable length from the 500 m hank and terminate both ends using appropriate RJ45 plugs or patch panels following Cat5e wiring (T568A or T568B). Ensure proper removal of the outer jacket and shields where necessary, and maintain pair twists as close as possible to the termination point to preserve performance. Ground the shielded cable and connected equipment when using the SF/UTP shield to maximise interference protection.

Recommendations

Note that the conductor is copper-clad aluminium (CCA). While the cable meets Cat5e construction, full Cat5e performance over long distances (approximately greater than 50 m) is not guaranteed with CCA conductors; for guaranteed performance on longer runs or mission-critical links, use a cable with 100% copper (CU) conductors.
