Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

The HyperX SoloCast 2 is a compact USB game console microphone engineered for clear voice capture with minimal setup. It combines an internal shock mount, built-in pop filter and integrated mounting threads so the microphone is ready to use without extra accessories. With plug-and-play USB-C connectivity, a cardioid pickup pattern and support for HyperX NGENUITY software, SoloCast 2 lets you tailor audio with high-pass, low-pass and voice enhancement filters that persist between sessions. The microphone offers a sensitivity of -7.8 dB, a 96 kHz sample rate and a 2 m USB cable for flexible placement.

Advantages

SoloCast 2 provides professional-grade voice capture in a streamlined, accessory-free design. The built-in shock mount and pop filter reduce handling noise and plosives, while the tap-to-mute with LED indicator gives quick control over audio. Software-adjustable filters via HyperX NGENUITY allow personalized sound settings that are saved between uses, and USB-C plug-and-play connectivity simplifies setup across compatible devices.

Suitable for

  • Gaming voice chat on consoles and PCs
  • Live streaming and content creation
  • Online meetings and remote communication
  • Podcasting and voice recording for single-speaker setups

Key specifications

  • Connectivity: Wired USB-C (plug and play)
  • Microphone sensitivity: -7.8 dB
  • Sample rate: 96 kHz
  • Cable length: 2 m
  • Colour: Black
  • Weight: 368 g
  • Power source: USB

How to use

Connect the SoloCast 2 to a compatible device using the included USB-C cable; the microphone will be recognised automatically on systems that support plug-and-play USB audio. Position the mic with its cardioid pickup facing the speaker to prioritise vocal clarity and reduce background noise. Use the tap-to-mute function to mute or unmute quickly; the LED indicator shows mute status. Open HyperX NGENUITY software to select and save high-pass, low-pass or voice enhancement filters according to your environment and voice.

Recommendations

Place the microphone 10–30 cm from your mouth, slightly off-axis, to reduce plosives. Use the built-in pop filter and enable a high-pass filter in noisy environments to minimise low-frequency rumble. For consistent results, configure and save your preferred filter settings in HyperX NGENUITY before streaming or recording.

“A good microphone doesn't need to have a million features to make an impact. Wrap a high-quality capsule in a sturdy frame, convert the output to a USB connection, and provide a stand.”
