How to use

Connect the microphone to your audio interface or mixer using the XLR output for a traditional analog signal, or plug directly into a computer with the supplied USB-C cable for plug-and-play digital recording. When recording via USB, install RØDE Central or RØDE Connect to access onboard DSP, APHEX® processing and firmware updates. For Windows systems, install the custom ASIO driver if you need 32-bit float recording, buffer and gain control, or multi-microphone USB operation.

Recommendations

Position the microphone according to the source: 10–30 cm from vocals with a pop filter to reduce plosives, a few centimetres from acoustic guitar or 20–50 cm for piano depending on the desired balance. Use the 32-bit float output when recording unpredictable dynamics or live performances to avoid clipping; otherwise use XLR for classic analog workflow and low-latency monitoring.
