The DeLOCK 90605 wearable barcode reader is a compact scanner for capturing 1D and 2D barcodes. It connects wirelessly to a PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth or to a host device using the supplied 2.4 GHz USB dongle; a USB cable is also included for wired connection. The scanner uses a CMOS sensor, has 16 MB internal memory and a built-in lithium polymer battery. At about 40 g and a snap-on mechanism for attaching to a glove, it is designed for mobile, hands-free scanning and can read barcodes displayed on screens.

How to use

Attach the scanner to a glove or other suitable mounting point using the snap-on mechanism. Power the device on and pair it with a Bluetooth-capable host or plug in the supplied USB dongle for 2.4 GHz connection; alternatively connect via the supplied USB cable. Aim the scanner at the barcode and press the scan trigger; the CMOS sensor will read barcodes on labels and on displays. Scanned data will be transmitted to the connected host or stored in internal memory when offline.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the scanner in normal ambient light or enable the built-in LED in low-light conditions. Regularly recharge the lithium polymer battery and periodically upload stored scans to your host device to avoid exceeding internal memory limits.
