How to use

Connect the PoE source (PoE switch or PoE injector) to the PoE In port on the extender using Cat5e or Cat6 cable. Connect your PoE device (for example, an IP camera, access point, or VoIP phone) to the PoE Out port. The extender will pass data and power to the connected device automatically. To reach greater distances, connect additional PoE extenders in series (daisy-chain). No configuration or software is required.

Recommendations

Start with a PoE injector or switch that meets IEEE 802.3at and provides sufficient input power. Each cascaded extender reduces available PD power by roughly 4 W; account for this when planning the number of extenders and the power requirements of the endpoint device.
