The AXIS T8129 PoE extender lets you install Axis network video products more than 100 m apart. By connecting an AXIS T8129 for each additional 100 m of cable, Ethernet and PoE can be extended to 200 m, 300 m or even greater distances, depending on the camera model and power supply. It is compatible with all Axis network video products that support PoE; the achievable distance depends on the power required, so a PTZ dome camera can be placed up to 200 m away using a single extender, while a typical 5 W network camera can reach up to 400 m using three units spaced 100 m apart. The T8129 needs no separate power supply, as the connected camera is fed from a single PoE switch or midspan, simplifying installation. It has two Ethernet ports, both with automatic configuration for link speed, duplex and crossover, while maintaining full network throughput.
