The Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX is a premium 40 x 10 mm cooling fan engineered for compact spaces where efficient airflow and low noise are required. It combines Noctua’s aerodynamic innovations such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame and a compact motor hub with SSO2 bearings to deliver stable, long-lasting operation. The FLX variant includes a Low-Noise Adaptor and OmniJoin Adaptor Set, multiple cabling options and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Advantages

How to use

Mount the NF-A4x10 FLX in the available 40 mm fan slot using standard screws or compatible clips; the integrated anti-vibration pads maintain compatibility with standard mounting systems. Choose the required connector type: use the 3-pin plug for conventional headers, the supplied 3-to-2-pin adaptor for devices with 2-pin connectors, or create a proprietary connection using the OmniJoin Adaptor Set and supplied 3M Scotchlok™ connectors. Use the 30 cm extension cable if additional reach is necessary. Fit the Low-Noise Adaptor to reduce maximum speed for quieter operation where appropriate.

Recommendations

For optimal performance in restricted spaces, position the fan to maintain straight, unobstructed intake/exhaust paths and use the L.N.A. when lower acoustics are preferred over maximum airflow. Verify polarity when using 2-pin connections; the integrated diode provides protection but correct wiring ensures reliable operation.
