The Noctua NF-A4x10 24V PWM is a 40 mm, 24V PWM-enabled variant of Noctua’s NF-A4x10 fan, designed for demanding 24V applications such as 24V-based 3D printers and other devices. It features an AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, Flow Acceleration Channels, Smooth Commutation Drive technology and the SSO2 bearing for stable, quiet operation. The package includes an OmniJoin adaptor set, NA-AC9 adaptor cable for common 3D printers, a Low-Noise Adaptor and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Advantages

The fan combines a compact 40 mm form factor with a reduced motor hub to increase blade surface area and improve airflow and static pressure. Flow Acceleration Channels, Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures reduce flow separation and vortex noise while improving efficiency. How to use

Install the fan using standard M3 screws or compatible mounting mechanisms, ensuring the integrated anti-vibration pads contact the chassis to reduce vibration transmission. Use the supplied NA-AC9 adaptor cable to connect directly to JST XHP-2 2.5 mm sockets commonly found on many 3D printers, or use the OmniJoin adaptor set to create a custom connector for proprietary headers. For PWM speed control, connect the 4‑pin PWM cable to a compatible controller or motherboard; the fan supports full PWM control and will stop at 0% duty cycle. Apply the Low-Noise Adaptor if you want to cap the maximum speed at 4100 rpm.

Recommendations

The fan is intended for 24V systems—verify the supply voltage before installation. For quiet operation, configure PWM control to run closer to the lower end of the speed range when thermal conditions allow; for maximum cooling, operate at higher PWM duty cycles. Avoid placing the fan where airflow is obstructed; ensure cables and connectors are routed clear of the impeller.
