PLANET TSN-5225-4T is an industrial-grade IP30 metal‑cased Layer 2+ managed TSN Ethernet switch with four 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports. Designed for harsh environments, it operates from -40 to 75 °C and supports DIN-rail or wall mounting. How to use

Mount the TSN-5225-4T on a DIN-rail or wall inside a suitable enclosure and connect the DC power inputs (9–48 V) with redundancy if required. Connect devices to the four Gigabit RJ45 ports and configure TSN, IEEE 1588 PTP, VLANs, QoS and security policies via the built-in Web GUI, console/Telnet or SNMPv3. Use Modbus TCP to integrate with SCADA/HMI systems for remote monitoring of port, DI/DO and device status. For ring topologies, enable ERPS for fast recovery and configure MSTP where needed.

Recommendations

For reliable time-sensitive performance, enable IEEE 1588 PTP in combination with TSN scheduling (802.1Qbv) and use hardware timestamping. Place the switch in a stable temperature environment within the specified range and employ redundant power and ERPS ring topology for critical installations.
