How to use

Mount the GS-4210-8P2C on a desktop or shelf and connect power. Use the Web-based management interface, CLI or SNMP management software to configure VLANs, link aggregation, QoS policies and security settings. Connect PoE-powered devices to the PoE ports and configure PD Alive Check, PoE schedules or scheduled power recycling as needed. For long-distance uplinks, insert appropriate SFP transceivers into the SFP slots and verify SFP-DDM readings for link diagnostics.

Recommendations

Configure PoE schedules to turn off ports during non-business hours to save energy and increase security. Use PD Alive Check and scheduled power recycling for critical IP cameras and APs to reduce downtime.
