How to use

Install the GS-4210-8HP2S in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a flat surface. Connect uplink fiber modules to the SFP ports as required and attach powered devices to the RJ-45 PoE ports. Use the web-based interface, Telnet or SNMP tools to configure IPv4/IPv6 settings, VLANs, QoS, ACLs and PoE management features such as PD alive check, PoE schedule and power recycling. Configure PoE extend mode on specific ports when longer-distance PoE delivery (up to 250 m at reduced speed) is required.

Recommendations

For stable operation, reserve sufficient PoE budget when planning device connections and enable PoE scheduling or power recycling for devices that benefit from periodic reboot. Use SFP-DDM diagnostics to monitor fiber transceiver status and apply SSH/TLS or SNMPv3 for secure remote management.
