InLine PoE / PoE+ tester InLine 79999I

The InLine PoE / PoE+ tester InLine 79999I is a compact handheld tool for verifying Power over Ethernet on network sockets and patch cables. How to use

Connect the tester's RJ45 plug to the device using the supplied short cable, and insert the other end into the test RJ45 port or wall socket to be checked. Observe the LED indicators: if the Endspan LED lights, PoE is present on pins 1, 2, 3 and 6; if the Midspan LED lights, PoE is present on pins 4, 5, 7 and 8. If no LED lights up, the tested connector does not provide PoE voltage.

Recommendations

Do not use the tester for telephone or ISDN lines — these standards and voltages are not supported. Use the device only within the supported voltage range (37–57 V) and follow standard safety practices when working on live network equipment.
