How to use

Install the card into a Mini-PCIe slot (PCIe x1). If space requires, snap along the predetermined breaking point to convert to half-size and attach the low-profile bracket to the external RJ45 module. Connect the supplied 10-pin cable between the main module and the external RJ45 module and attach the LED cable if status LEDs are needed. Install drivers from the included CD or obtain up-to-date drivers from the chipset manufacturer, then connect a CAT-5 or better Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and verify link and speed in the operating system.

Recommendations

Use CAT-5e or CAT-6 cables for reliable Gigabit performance; enable VLAN and QoS settings in the network switch or operating system where segmentation or traffic prioritization is required. For embedded or industrial deployments, secure the external RJ45 module and cable to avoid strain on the connector.
