The InLine® Quad Gigabit PCIe network card 51127A was developed for demanding professional applications and combines maximum network performance with flexible compatibility. With four RJ45 ports and a transfer rate of up to 2.5Gb/s per port, it is ideal for use in virtualised server environments, industrial control systems or high-performance workstations.

Thanks to the Realtek RTL8125B chipset and PCI Express x4 interface (compatible with x1/x4/x8/x16 slots), it not only offers full performance, but also supports state-of-the-art functions such as RSS (Receive Side Scaling), Virtual Machine Queue (VMQ), VLAN tagging, Double VLAN as well as ECC and CRC functions for secure data transmission.

The card is compatible with both Windows and Linux and supports energy-efficient networks in accordance with IEEE 802.3az. Functions such as Wake-on-LAN, "RealWoW" and time synchronisation in accordance with IEEE1588v2 make it an ideal solution for professional network architectures where precision and reliability are required.

The included low-profile bracket also makes it easy to install in compact housings such as industrial PCs or 2U servers. Backwards compatibility with 10/100/1000BASE-T and the use of existing Cat.5e cabling, your network remains flexible and future-proof.

How to use

Install the network card into an available PCIe x4 (or larger) slot on the target computer, secure it to the chassis, and connect Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables to the RJ45 ports. After powering on the system, install the appropriate drivers for your Windows or Linux distribution if they are not automatically detected. Configure network settings via the operating system network control panel or your management tools to assign IP addresses and enable desired features.

Recommendations

For reliable multi-gigabit performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cabling and keep runs within 100 metres. Ensure the host system provides a PCIe x4 or larger slot and up-to-date drivers for the selected OS. When deploying in mixed-speed environments, configure link speeds as needed in the OS or switch management interface.
