The InLine® 4-to-2 USB-C Switch with integrated 4-port USB hub based on USB 3.2 Gen.1 is the ideal solution for professional applications where two computers need to access a shared USB infrastructure. With a single switch button, IT users, technicians or system houses can quickly switch between two computers while the connected USB devices (e.g. mouse, keyboard, printer or external storage) remain automatically connected to the active system.
Supporting data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s, the switch ensures a high-performance connection. The integrated LED indicator provides clear feedback on the currently active source and reduces operating errors in everyday work. The compact design is ideal for locations with limited space, such as server rooms, test stations or training environments.

How to use

Connect the two host computers to the device via the supplied USB-C cables and plug your USB peripherals into the four USB-A ports. If connected peripherals require additional power, attach an appropriate DC adapter to the 3.5×1.35 mm power socket. Use the toggle button on the unit to switch the active host; the LED indicator will show which computer currently has control of the connected devices. No driver installation is required for standard USB devices, and the switch supports bootable devices when connected.

Recommendations

For stable operation with power-hungry devices such as external HDDs or SSDs, use the optional DC power supply. Place the switch in a ventilated area and avoid exposure to temperatures outside the specified 0°C to +40°C range. Ensure USB cables are fully inserted to maintain reliable data transfer at up to 5 Gb/s.
