How to use

Install the DGS-1016D in a standard 19-inch rack or place it on a flat surface. Connect network devices using standard Ethernet cables to any of the 16 RJ-45 ports; the switch will automatically detect cable type and negotiate speed and duplex. For rack mounting, secure the switch with appropriate mounting brackets and screws. Monitor link and activity LEDs to verify connections and use the built-in cable diagnostic on a port if a link problem is suspected.

Recommendations

For energy savings, power down connected computers or network devices when not in use; standby modes may not provide significant reductions. Use shorter Ethernet cable lengths where practical to benefit from cable-length power adjustments. Ensure regular inspection of LEDs and run cable diagnostics when troubleshooting connectivity issues.
