Power over Ethernet
The DGS-1010MP features eight 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that support the IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) standard. Each of the eight PoE ports can supply up to 30 W, with a total combined PoE budget of 125 W, allowing users to power up to four IEEE 802.3at-compliant devices without requiring an additional power supply. How to use

Place the D-Link switch on a stable surface or mount it according to installation requirements, connect the switch to your network backbone using one of the Gigabit uplink ports, and attach end devices to the available Ethernet ports. Devices that support PoE will receive power automatically from PoE+ enabled ports. Because the device is unmanaged, there is no configuration step required for basic connectivity; simply power the switch and connect network devices to begin operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify power budget requirements of connected PoE devices to ensure the total PoE consumption does not exceed the switch’s available PoE budget. Use certified Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance, and place the switch in a well-ventilated, dust-free area.
