The InLine® RJ45 terminal block with straight socket and side screw terminal strip enables the structured connection of Ethernet signals in control cabinets, test fields, or laboratories. The permanently installed RJ45 socket (8P8C) is directly connected to a 9-pin screw terminal – 8 wires plus shield.
The terminal strip supports wires in the range of 16–26 AWG and is easy to wire with a flat-blade screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm. The pre-mounted DIN rail clip allows the module to be integrated onto mounting rails quickly and securely. The robust design and tested short-circuit and miswiring protection make the adapter ideal for industrial applications.

How to use

Mount the module on a standard DIN top-hat rail using the pre-mounted clip. Strip and prepare wires in the 16–26 AWG range, insert each conductor into the corresponding screw terminal and secure with a flat-head screwdriver (≤ 2.5 mm) using the pressure plate. Plug a standard straight RJ45 plug into the 8P8C socket to establish the connection. Observe wiring order and shield termination to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use within the specified temperature range (–20 °C to +70 °C), ensure connections do not exceed 1.0 A per pin, and follow correct pair/wire assignment and shielding practices. Install on a grounded DIN rail and verify wiring with appropriate network-test equipment after installation.
