Bridge/Repeater Trendnet TPE-E110

The TRENDnet Gigabit PoE+ Repeater/Amplifier TPE-E110 extends and amplifies a Gigabit PoE or PoE+ network connection to remote locations. The unit auto-detects PoE (15.4 W) or PoE+ (30 W) input and adds an additional 100 m of range, allowing a total cable distance of up to 200 m (656 ft.) from the original PoE device. The repeater is housed in a metal enclosure and does not require an external power adapter, which simplifies installation in remote sites.

How to use

Connect the upstream PoE or PoE+ cable from your injector or switch into the TPE-E110’s RJ-45 port. The device will automatically detect the PoE standard and amplify the signal, adding another 100 m of Ethernet/PoE reach. If additional distance is required, connect further TPE-E110 units in sequence (daisy-chain) following the same wiring method. No external power adapter is needed; mount the unit in a suitable indoor or protected outdoor location using the metal enclosure.

Recommendations

To maintain optimal PoE+ performance, verify the power budget of the original PoE switch or injector when daisy-chaining multiple repeaters. For best results use quality Cat5e or better cabling and observe standard installation practices to minimise signal loss.
