Wire connector METZ CONNECT 130B21-Z

The METZ CONNECT 130B21-Z wire connector is a modular Cat.6A RJ45 termination unit in a Keystone, 180° cable feed format. The one-piece, zinc die-cast housing is reusable and refined for durability. It supports solid and stranded copper conductors and is supplied as a set of 12 pieces for bulk installations.

Advantages

The connector allows tool-free mounting with strain relief that snaps directly onto the stuffer cap and provides intelligent cable management suitable for heavily twisted cables. It supports both T568A and T568B conductor assignments printed on the stuffer cap. The unit is certified for Cat.6A performance (GHMT re-embedded PVP) and meets component and system standards up to class EA, with testing to higher frequencies for component and link performance. How to use

Insert the cable into the 180° feed, arrange conductors according to the T568A or T568B colour code printed on the stuffer cap, and press the wires into the insulation displacement connectors (IDC). Snap the strain relief onto the stuffer cap to secure the cable; no special tools are required for termination. The design supports migration to 25G systems without additional tooling.

Recommendations

Use the connector with cables that meet the specified AWG ranges and follow the printed conductor assignment for reliable signalling. Store and transport the 12-piece set in its original packaging to prevent mechanical damage to the die-cast housing and contacts.
