E-DAT Industry terminal rail TS35 with an integrated RJ45 coupler insert Cat.6 Class E is a termination unit designed for mounting on TH35 (TS35) rails to DIN EN 60715 inside electrical distribution panels for residential and industrial installations. The unit provides a vertically plugged RJ45 interface oriented 90° to the rail and supports Class E cabling standards for structured cabling.

Advantages

The terminal offers Class E compliance to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2:2011-06 and DIN EN 50173-1:2011-09 and is suitable for 10 GBase-T (IEEE 802.3an), Remote Powering (PoE, PoE+ and UPoE) and HDBaseT applications. Mechanical design includes four shield-plate springs for increased resistance to vibration and shock. The 1 HP width enables installation of up to 12 units in a standard electrical distribution panel. When used as a device of protection class I, equipotential bonding is provided directly via the top-hat rail using an integrated switchable equipotential spring which must be connected to the building equipotential bonding via a bonding terminal.

How to use

Mount the unit onto a TH35 rail in the distribution panel in the required position and secure it according to panel installation practice. Terminate the incoming Cat6e/Class E cabling to the RJ45 coupler insert following the cabling scheme and manufacturer's termination instructions. Plug patch cables or device cables into the vertical RJ45 interface. If the device is installed as protection class I, connect the integrated equipotential spring to the building equipotential bonding using a dedicated bonding terminal.

Use certified Cat6e/Class E cabling and follow local installation standards and safety regulations. Ensure the equipotential bonding is made when required by the installation to maintain protective earth continuity and minimize EMC issues.
