It combines a nickel-plated copper cold plate and a CNC-machined brass top and insert to offer enhanced thermal transfer with minimized flow restriction while keeping a compact footprint compatible with small motherboards.

Advantages

How to use

Install the EK-Quantum Magnitude 1700 following the motherboard and CPU manufacturer instructions and the provided mounting hardware. Ensure the CPU IHS and cold plate surfaces are clean before applying the included Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut paste. Fit the block onto the LGA 1700 socket using the supplied mounting mechanism and tighten screws evenly to the recommended mounting pressure. Connect inlet and outlet fittings to the desired tubing; if alternative tube routing is needed, rotate the brass insert 180° to swap inlet and outlet positions. After installation, run a leak test and verify coolant flow before powering the system.

Recommendations

Use compatible fittings (EK-Quantum Torque or similar) and ensure adequate pump flow to minimize pressure drop. Replace thermal paste when re-seating the block. Optional anodized frames or POM light-diffusing frames are available separately to match fittings or integrate D-RGB lighting.
