EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 3070 D-RGB is a 2nd generation GPU water block from EK® Quantum Line, designed for EVGA® FTW3 RTX 3070 graphics cards based on NVIDIA® Ampere™ architecture. The block actively cools the GPU die, VRAM, VRM power stages and chokes, and features a nickel-plated copper base with a CNC-machined acrylic top and pre-installed brass standoffs. It includes addressable D-RGB lighting and uses EPDM O-rings for watertight sealing.

Advantages

The Vector FTW3 3070 D-RGB uses an Open Split-Flow cooling engine with optimized flow paths and a jet-plate/fin geometry that reduces hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing. Its design delivers low hydraulic restriction so it performs well even with lower-speed pumps. The fin array comprises 28 microfins with 0.6 mm microchannels to balance cooling efficiency and minimal flow restriction. Construction uses nickel-plated electrolytic copper for the base and glass-like cast acrylic for the top, providing effective heat transfer and a transparent finish for visual integration.

How to use

Install the water block onto the EVGA FTW3 RTX 3070 following the supplied mounting mechanism and pre-installed brass standoffs. Apply the provided thermal pads and the supplied EK-TIM Ectotherm thermal grease to the GPU and other contact points as instructed. Connect the block to your loop using G1/4" fittings and align the D-RGB 3-pin connector arrow with the +5V marking on the motherboard header to enable addressable lighting. Tighten screws evenly to ensure correct contact and seal.

Recommendations

EK recommends using an optional retention backplate for improved PCB support, additional passive cooling of the GPU core and VRM backside, and enhanced overall appearance. Use quality coolant and perform leak tests before powering the system.
