Water block + Backplate Alphacool GPX-N

The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for GeForce RTX 4XXX graphics cards is engineered to handle the high thermal output of this GPU generation. Compared with the previous model, the cooler features an adapted fin structure and an improved jet plate to increase cooling surface and optimize water distribution across the fins for efficient heat removal.

Advantages

The revised fin geometry (0.4 mm fin thickness and 0.4 mm spacing) was developed in collaboration with NVIDIA board partners to ensure strong water flow while expanding the cooling area. A modified jet plate provides a better inflow angle and more even water pressure distribution over the fins. The cooler is manufactured from chrome-plated copper, which offers greater hardness and resistance to scratches and acids than nickel plating and provides a uniform, durable shine. Included thermal materials (high-performance Subzero thermal compound and Alphacool Soft Pads) support efficient heat transfer for GPU core, memory and voltage regulation components.

How to use

Install the Eisblock Aurora following the GPU and water-cooling system manufacturer instructions. Remove the original cooler from the graphics card, clean contact surfaces carefully, and apply the supplied Subzero thermal compound on the GPU die. Fit the Alphacool Soft Pads to the voltage regulator and memory according to the template, then mount the chrome-plated copper block and secure it with the provided fasteners. Connect the cooler to the loop, perform a leak test, and fill and bleed the cooling system before powering the PC.
