Smart curtain motor SwitchBot W2400000R for U-rail (EU & UK) — battery, USB-C, 15 kg push

SwitchBot W2400000R is a smart curtain motor designed for U-rail systems (EU & UK) that automates opening and closing of curtains with a maximum pushing weight of 15 kg. The compact white unit integrates a rechargeable built-in battery and a USB-C charging port, and fits typical domestic and office curtain installations where motorised movement on a U-shaped rail is required.

Advantages

The device provides hands-free curtain control with scheduled, remote and manual options while maintaining a compact footprint. Built-in rechargeable power eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements, and USB-C charging offers a common, convenient charging interface. The motor’s 15 kg pushing capacity supports a broad range of curtain fabrics and sizes within the limits of U-rail hardware.

Suitable for

• Homes and apartments using U-rail curtain tracks in EU and UK installations
• Small offices or meeting rooms where automated curtain movement is required
• Rooms where retrofit motorisation is preferred over replacing the entire curtain system
• Users who want remote or scheduled control of curtains without hardwiring

When it may not be suitable

This motor is not suitable for curtain systems that are not U-rail type or for rails designed for heavier industrial curtains exceeding 15 kg. It may also be inappropriate where a permanently wired power supply is required or where integrated control with proprietary hardwired building automation protocols is mandatory.

Charge the built-in battery using a USB-C cable before initial use. Use the SwitchBot app or compatible controls to pair the motor, configure opening and closing schedules, and set travel limits if available. Manual operation remains possible if needed; follow the included guide to switch between modes and perform basic maintenance such as keeping the rail clean and checking mounting points.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your curtain rail is a U-rail type compatible with EU & UK fittings
• Verify the curtain weight does not exceed 15 kg when fully loaded
• Check clearance and mounting space to accommodate the unit’s dimensions
• Decide if rechargeable battery operation and USB-C charging meet your power preferences

Recommendations

For reliable operation, charge the motor before first use and set realistic schedules based on daily light conditions; keep the U-rail free of debris and periodically inspect the attachment to ensure smooth movement and prolong the device life.
