Shuttle CXP01 - Cable for external push button switch for PCs

Some Shuttle XPC models include a rear-panel connector for an external power button. How to use

Turn off the PC and disconnect power before installation. Plug the fitted connector of the CXP01 into the external power-button header on the Shuttle XPC rear panel. Mount a compatible momentary push button at the desired external location and connect it to the other end of the cable. Restore power and test the switch to verify the PC powers on and off correctly.

Recommendations

Use a momentary (normally open) push button switch rated for low-voltage signal connections. Avoid routing the cable near high-voltage power lines or moving parts. For permanent installations, secure the cable along its route to prevent strain on connectors.
