Fan Noctua NF-A9

The Noctua NF-A9 5V PWM is a 92 mm case fan designed for efficient, low-noise cooling in 5V applications. With a maximum speed of 2000 RPM, an airflow of 78.9 m³/h and a maximum static pressure of 2.28 mmH2O, the fan delivers effective airflow in compact spaces. The self-stabilising oil-pressure (SSO2) bearing and Smooth Commutation Drive give long-term stability and smooth operation. This 92x25 mm fan is supplied with a USB power adaptor cable and an OmniJoin™ adaptor set for flexible connection options and is available in beige and brown.

Advantages

How to use

Connect the NF-A9 5V PWM to a compatible 5V PWM power source. For USB-powered setups, use the supplied USB power adaptor cable to run the fan from a USB host or power bank. If connecting to proprietary 5V headers, use the OmniJoin™ adaptor set: cut the original cable, attach the wires to the supplied Scotchlok™ connectors and plug the adaptor into the device. Avoid applying 12V power; running the fan at 12V will damage it. Secure the fan using standard 92 mm mounting screws or compatible brackets, ensuring anti-vibration pads contact the case to reduce noise transmission.

Recommendations

For best performance and longevity, operate the NF-A9 5V PWM within its rated voltage and use PWM control to adjust speed to match cooling requirements. When installing in confined spaces, orient the fan to optimise airflow path and ensure cables do not obstruct blades. Use the sleeved extension when additional reach is needed and keep the USB adaptor accessible if you plan to power the fan from portable USB sources.
