The Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP is a pack of two 120 mm computer case fans specifically tuned to minimise acoustic interaction when used in push-pull configurations or where multiple fans operate side by side, such as on 240/360 mm radiators or case cooling setups. Each set contains two NF-A12x25 G2 PWM fans with a deliberate speed offset of about +/- 50 RPM to avoid beat frequencies and intermittent vibrations while preserving overall cooling performance. The fans feature the etaPERF™ motor with the NE-FD6 driver IC and SupraTorque™ capability, enabling very precise speed control and extra torque to maintain target speeds under significant airflow resistance.

Advantages

The paired fans maintain equivalent cooling efficiency while preventing periodic humming and vibration by running one fan slightly faster and the other slightly slower. How to use

Install the two NF-A12x25 G2 PWM fans in the intended push-pull or side-by-side arrangement following your case or radiator mounting provisions. Connect the fans to PWM-capable headers on the motherboard or to a fan controller to allow precise speed management. If necessary, use the supplied Low-Noise-Adaptor to reduce one fan's speed further or adjust PWM curves to increase the RPM offset between the two fans and reduce perceived beat frequencies. When adding more than two fans, either combine multiple Sx2-PP sets or introduce an additional NF-A12x25 G2 PWM and reduce its speed to approximately the PPA level (~1750 RPM) to avoid matching neighbor speeds.

Recommendations

To achieve the quietest operation, start with the stock offset provided by the Sx2-PP set and fine-tune PWM curves or apply the Low-Noise-Adaptor to the slightly slower fan (PPA). Verify acoustic behaviour under typical system load, since perception of beat frequencies varies between users. For multi-fan arrays, ensure adjacent fans do not run at identical constant speeds to minimise interference.
