Mounting kit Noctua NA-IS1-12 SX2 compatible with NF-A12x25 series

The NA-IS1-12 Sx2 is a set of two 5 mm intake side spacer frames for Noctua 120x25 mm square-frame fans. They are designed to offset the fan from grills, perforated plates, mesh panels, filters or radiators in suction (pull) applications, reducing influx turbulence to improve airflow behavior and acoustic performance. The kit replaces the stock NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads and is compatible with current Noctua 120x25 mm square-frame models. The set includes spacers, anti-vibration mounts, long self-tapping fan screws and radiator screws in both M3 and UNC 6-32 threads for flexible installation options.

Advantages

The 5 mm offset created by the NA-IS1 spacers reduces turbulence caused by obstacles in front of intake fans, which can result in lower noise levels and a smoother noise profile. How to use

Replace the fan’s stock NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads with the NA-IS1 spacer frames. For case intake installation, position the spacer between the fan and the case panel and secure using the supplied self-tapping screws or the NA-AV3 anti-vibration mounts, which sandwich the spacer to the fan. For radiator mounting in intake configuration, use the supplied 35 mm radiator screws in the thread type required by the radiator (M3 or UNC 6-32). Ensure screws are tightened securely but avoid overtightening.

Recommendations

Use the NA-IS1-12 spacers specifically for suction (pull) applications where fans draw air through obstacles. Do not use with slim 120x15 mm fans or non-square-frame models. Choose the correct radiator screw thread (M3 or UNC 6-32) for your radiator and check compatibility with your fan model before installation.
