This 2-port repeater receives power and data from a PoE Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and provides two outbound ports to extend both power and network data by an additional 100 m per segment. How to use

Connect a PoE-capable switch or other Power Sourcing Equipment to the POR-1222 IN port using a standard Ethernet cable for the first 100 m run. Then connect the OUT port(s) to the powered devices or to additional POR-1222 repeaters to extend the link another 100 m per repeater. No additional software or external power supply is required; power and data are passed through by the PSE. When daisy-chaining, verify total distance and PD wattage requirements to ensure reliable operation.

Recommendations

For best results, use POR-1222 with Gigabit PoE-Plus (802.3at) PSE equipment and calculate cumulative cable length and device power requirements before chaining multiple repeaters.
